在美剧或者电影中，经常看到老外嘴边挂着：sucker 或者 it sucks之类的话，说的很频繁。于是google了一把，整理一下，以后听到这些字眼，就知道是不愉快，不喜欢，糟糕差不多的意思了（是不是跟mess up有点像？）

应该有郁闷之类的意思吧.

Suck
這個字在美國用的很多, 它就是指很爛, 很差的意思. Suck 是一個動詞, 所以在使用上跟爛這個形容詞是不太一樣的, 例如你可以說,
That traffic here really sucks! 就是說這裏的交通糟透了的意思. 有時也聽得到人家用 suck 的形容詞
sucky. 例如有一次我室友的女朋友先是車子拋錨, 然後又下起大雨, 更糟的是她還找不到電話可以求救. 所以她那天一來我們這, 就說了一句,
Today is very sucky, everything sucks. 說得很好吧!
Suck
這個字的原意是指用嘴巴吸的意思, 所以有人就設計了這麼一個吸果凍的比賽. 規則很簡單, 就是不能用手, 只能用嘴巴把果凍吸光.
所以比賽一開始, 只聽到觀眾大喊, Hey, you suck! 表面上聽來是說, 你快點吸的意思, 事實上則是暗地裏罵人爛的意思.

筆者是覺得在美國說 suck 或許沒有 shit 或 **** 來的這麼槽, 但是沒把握還是不要亂用這個字比較好. 如果要用, 請用在同輩之間及比較熟的好朋友身上.

以有很多意思的， 老友记里面D1季D1集， 最后的几句台词中，当大家帮忙Rachel把他爸爸给她的信用卡都剪掉后，
Monica对Rachel说： welcome to the real world, it sucks, you're gonna love
it! 我觉得此时的sucks是告诉Rachel生活是很艰辛的，但是又是很美好的。
