In ACT III,  the Stewart family and their friends get ready to eat their Thanksgiving dinner.  And they give thanks.

- xxxx that spirit, let's each of us give thanks. Each like his own way.

And Robbie gives thanks in his own way.
- I'd like to give thanks for Grandpa comming to live with us. And I'd also like to thank my math teacher for giving me a passive grade.

Later, after dinner.  

- Remember? The Michigan football game and Michigan needs a touch down.
- Did you forget something?

- OK, everybody. I want to welcome Harry and his daugher Michelle to thankgiving with us.
- Thanks Doc Stewart.
- Call me Philip.
- OK.
- But first, I think we should take a moment and remember the meaning of Thanksgiveing.
- Philip, I am took Michelle to  school play about the first Thanksgiveing.(wrong, it should be: Philip, I took Michelle to a school play about the first Thanksgiving. 原因:Harry说话有这样的特点,在某个单词后面会拖一个比较长的尾音,前面说话就是这样)
- Well, why don't you tell us about that, Michelle?
- Thanksgiving was about the Pops, the first xxx about America. He shared the first time to see Indians, and give their thanks.(wrong, it should be: Thanksgiving was about the Pilgrims, the first settlers in Ameraca. They shared the first harvest with the Indians and gave thanks. 原因:很多单词不认识,很多单词不熟悉,比如Pilgrims, settler, harvest)
- All right. Being that spirit, let each of us give thanks, each of just own ways,(wrong, it should be: All right, then in that spirit let each of us give thanks. Each in his own way. 原因:没什么原因,需要反复听) who wants to begin?
- I will. I give thanks for being with my family. And for being while.(wrong, it should be: I give thanks for being here with my family and for being well. 原因:对最后的for being well没有概念,原来well也有健康的意思) So I can enjoy you all.
- All right. We love you, Grandpa.
- I'd like to give thanks for a house year(wrong, it should be: a healthy year. 原因:我对house和healthy的区分度还是不够大), a good job, and for meeting Harry and Michelle.
- We'd like to give thanks for meeting Susan and Stewart family.
- I love you, Dady.
- Thanks Harry, that was very kind of you.
- I'd like to give thanks for Grandpa commming to live with us. And I'd also like to thank my math teacher for giving me a passing grade. And call me Alexandra.

- Well, you all konw I'm working on my photo album, it's not finished yet. And I'd like to thank Marilyn for being so patient.
- Thanks, Richard. I should thank you for encouraging me to keep working on my fashion designs. I'm lucky at my husband with a tistic eye.(wrong, it should be: I'm lucky to have a husband with an artistic eye. 原因:对to的读音还是不熟,另外,对单词artistic 不是很熟悉)
- Oh, we all have a lot to be thanks for.(wrong, it should be: Oh, we have a lot to be thankful for. 原因:偶的语法不过关啊。。。) For the food on this table, just like a
programs.(wrong, it should be: Just like the Pilgrims. 原因:不知道单词:Pilgrims)
- I'll go along with that Ellen.
- Well, will you serve Robbie? (wrong, it should be: Well, help me serve, Robbie. 原因:没什么原因,I just need to practise more.)








- It was a wonderful meal Mrs Stewart, thank you.
- And now the see them the football game. (wrong, it should be: And now to see the end of the football game. 原因:the end of没听出来)
- Exactly. (正是)
- Where are you going? Philip.
- Remember the Michigan football game and Michigan needs a touchdown.

- Dad, your famous apple pie.
- Just, let me see the score, Ellen.
- Go ahead, Philip, we should all take a look at all xxxxx before dessert. (wrong, it should be: We should all take a little break before dessert. 原因:take a little break这个组合没听出来)

The door bell rings.

- Ah, who got that be all? (wrong, it should be: who could that be ? 原因:没啥原因) It must be Alexandra. I invited her come back for dessert. (wrong, it should be: I invited her to come by for dessert. 原因:对于come by这个组合不熟悉,come by在美语中,有串门的意思)
- You did?
- I like, Ellen.
- You know everyone, Alexandra.
- No, she doesn't know Harry Bennet, and his daughter Michelle.
- Nice to meet you.
- Hi.
- Hello, Alexandra.
- Hi, Marilyn, hi, Susan. Happy Thanksgiving.

- Please sit down, Alexandra. Dad, Richard, Alexandra's here.
- Michigan needs a touchdown, 3 minutes to play. Hi, Alexandra, welcome.
- Hello, Alexandra. Yes, Michigan needs a touchdown. One tiny little touchdown, with just 3 minutes to play.
- You want Michigan to win?
- How could you guess? (wrong, it should be: How'd you guess? 你怎么晓得?)
- And Alexandra brought us a pumpkin pie.
- What happend?
- We forgot to turn the open on.(wrong, it should be: We forgot to turn the oven on. 原因:对单词over不熟悉)
- We did?
- Philip, why don't you go wathch the last 3 minutes of the game, I'll serve coffee and pumpkin pie.
- Ok, I'll be back in a few minutes.
- Robbie, would you bring their plates, and Marilyn, would you put coffee please? (wrong, it should be: Robbie, would you bring the dessert plates. And, Marilyn, would you pour coffee, please. 原因:对单词pour不熟悉)
- Sure, Ellen.










- How was your Thanksgiving dinner, Alexandra?
- Just wonderful, Mr Stewart.  The Malinas are a large family and I love been with them.
- I'm glad you came back Alexandra.(wrong, it should be: I'm glad you came by, Alexandra. 原因:对词组come by不熟悉)
- I am too.




- Touchdown, touchdown.
- Hooray.
- Great thanksgiving. A large to be thanks for.(wrong, it should be: Lots to be thankful for. 原因:没原因) Michgan scores a touchdown. Alexandra came by. And nobody misses Philip's famous apple pie.

THANKSGIVING

On Thanksgiving Day, people in the USA get together with family and friends.

The first Thanksgiving was in 1621.
- Thanksgiving was about the Pilgrims, the first settlers in America. They shared the first harvest with the  Indians, and give thanks.


Thanksgiving is a day with many traditions. People eat traditional foods, like turkey, and turkey dressing, and fruit pies like apple pie and pumpkin pie.  Family enjoys mutile (wrong, it should be: modern )traditions too, like wathching the Thanksgiving parade on Television.
- Don't you just love it? Oh, and the bands, and the music. John Philip Susson, I love his music.

And people watch the afternoon football game.
- Touchdown, touchdown.

And Thanksgiving is a day for giving thanks.
- I give thanks for being here with my family. And for a being well, I can enjoy you all.
- I'd like to give thanks for a healthy year, a good job, and for meeting Harry and
Michelle.

It's a special holiday. A day to be with people you love.
