According to Zhou, the previous generation grew up in an environment in which children of the same age usually played together. However, the present generation, who are mostly "the only child", tend to grow up with fewer peers around.
Children now spend more time with their families instead. This makes it harder for them to build up trust with other people. Zhou said:"Even if these people fall in love with someone, it requires a longer period of time for the relationship to develop."
