Louise Bagshawe was elected as Conservative MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire last May, the only new MP in the north of the county.
She has been on the receiving end of some criticism from constituents, but insists a thick skin has helped her take it all in her stride.
Speaking to the Evening Telegraph, she said: “It has been a whirlwind year and I have loved every minute of it. “Finding my feet in Parliament was difficult and there is an overwhelming amount of casework, especially in a town like Corby.
