Surrounded by mountains, which appear and disappear and cloud conditions change, the lake is just gorgeous. A variety of waterbirds (and their young) add to interest. Then there's the enormous fountain, the Jet D'eau, which can be seen from miles. Get the train along the edge for some lovely views, including vineyards and peaceful cows. Or, as other reviews point out, use your Geneva travel card to get municipal ferries across the lake for free. If you fancy a swim, visit the Bains de Paquis, a popular hang out, with changing rooms and a cafe. But you might be put off by the posters warning of so called "duck fleas or swimmers' dermatitis" which warns of a skin condition if you don't shower thoroughly!
Stunning location directly adjacent to the lake of Geneva with a Mediterranean feeling topped with uninterrupted views onto the majestically elevated, snow covered mountains of the Swiss and French Alps UNREAL!All Hotel staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and always greeting with a smile great crew, well done. Judging by the way our two year old son was happily playing in the gardens or by the pool, exploring the various Hotel niches and displayed objects a great place where happy and well mannered children like to be.
I was shocked at how much of a tourist trap Geneva has become. The washrooms they do have, if they are not locked, are very unsanitary. There are so many beautiful lakes around the world, you would only think this is nice if you have never been to a nice lake before.love to live in sight of this lake and its surrounding mountains
