what is the difference

so whats the difference and especially from evga there are 3 4 products with the gtx 780 name while differs a lot in price. Why gigabyte geforce gtx 780 3gb cost 580euro and evga gtx 780 FTW ACX cooler cost 720 euro?

I know ftw means higher clocked but gigabytes are 954 while evga 980 on core. Minimal difference. So what? 140 euro difference for the acx cooler?is there any difference in perfomance? Both oh those 2 have exactly the same specs.

between this 2 price range there are other brands like msi asus etc.

Nvidia is the one who designs and makes the reference card. Then other manufacturers make their own cooling systems and sell them , sometimes tweaking their clock speeds.

So the main difference between all the different GTX 780 is the cooling systems. Some are quieter while some can keep the card cooler.

You'll have to read more reviews on different cooling systems from different companies as the sound from your other components in your computer could also cover the sound if the GPU.

So just pick the cheapest one.

Don't let factory overclocked card attract you as overclocking a GPU is not as difficult as you think. There are many software out there to assist you in doing so.

Overclocking a GTX 780 to match the performance of a GTX Titan ? It is possible. You would have to overclock to the dangerous zones to do so. what I mean by dangerous is that the GPU would definitely generate a lot of heat and would consume more power. The GPU 's life span would also decrease. I don't recommend it since the GTX 780 is already good enough to run the most graphically intensive games . Sometimes it's because they have better quality parts . But sometimes the good ones are on sale so don't just look at prices.

But don't worry about the quality. If its bad , why would they still continue selling ? No one would buy it.

I can understand if the parts are better then it would be sold for more. but what im saying is that if a gtx 760 is being sold for $240 on amazon and another is sold for $280 on newegg or cyberpower with no clear hardware difference, then one company just wants more money.

What a maze. Seriously 110 euro for exact same perfomance but different brand name and cooler. Its so so so weeeird!! I dont care about heat cuz i have 3 front fans,1 bottom,4 top,1 rear. Also ram air cooler flowing air to mobo pcb which its near pci e x16 slot.

I made this question cuz i builded a rig for 2100 euro (only tower) and i regret persuaching the sapphire hd 7970 ( i have it less than 2 months) and not something more powerfull and now i am going to uograde to gtx 780. We all have some hobbies or something we love prefer more among all others. Well computer pc components software and hardware info means everything to me. I spend 2 5 hours everyday reading everything about pc. As you can guess when it comes to myown rig i want the best i can afford. Plus i want to push my pc as far as it goes w/o lags or delays. Thats me. Out there,there are people spendin 4k 10k bucks/euros to custimize them cars,exhausts and body partsetc,iron craps mean absolutely nothing me. For me is a quad xeon with titan tri sli. For you is vacheron constantin hand watch. For every one is something different. So dont judge me bro. Thats just what i love.what is the difference
