Even 30 minutes of movement everyday is great
My next big concert won’t be until Valentine’s Day, when I’ll be in the beautiful city of Bangkok (at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center, performing with Gerard Salonga and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra), so I’ve been busying myself with other stuff.
Being a stay-at-home mommy has been wonderful, in that I’ve been able to pick my daughter up from school everyday (Daddy does the drop-offs). I also tend to matters of the house (a cracked tile here, a possible new paint job there). I likewise saw this time as an opportunity to return to a place from which I’ve absented myself for about a year, a place that I knew I had to revisit soon: The gym.
My husband has probably been the gym’s most makulit proponent, giving me not-so-subtle hints that I should get some exercise. He’d say, “Even 30 minutes of movement everyday is great for one’s health,” and, “Your singing is better when you work out.” I am someone who hates being told what to do (my rising sign of Taurus is probably responsible for that), so this was something I needed to arrive at on my own. Since I knew that I had a bit of
stioen time before my next trip, I decided to do it.
