The Terrebonne Parish Council The following is a rundown of action taken by the Terrebonne Parish Council at its regular meeting Wednesday. All council members attended, except Kevin Voisin, who had out-of-state business. All decisions were unanimous, unless otherwise noted.

Action: Held a memorial in honor of Oddie J. Hebert, who was a World War II veteran and active community volunteer. On Jan. 7, Hebert died at the age of 91.

Discussion: Gary Petrae, a scientific support coordinator with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, updated the council on sampling the federal agency performed looking for oil in sediment and water in federal waters. Council members asked that he forward them specific information about oil sampling done in sands closer inshore.
