What are the naming convention for .MTC files?
Question
If you search your IBM? Lotus? Domino? server's Operating System for "*.mtc" files while running message tracking, you'll find documents that have names similar to "20100122AS.MTC" and "20100122DF.MTC." What is the naming convention for the MTC files?
Answer
MTC files, created by Router and containing raw message tracking summary data, have a naming convention that is a combination of (1) the date messages were tracked, and (2) abbreviations for their delivery, transfer, and group-expanded status.
For example, the naming convention of "20100122AS.MTC" has the following meaning:
o "20100122": The message was tracked on January 22, 2010.
o "AS": The message arrived successfully.
Two-letter combinations that appear in MTC filenames are as follows:
o "AS" - Arrived Successfully
o "DS" - Delivered Successfully
o "DF" - Delivery Failure
o "TS" - Transferred Successfully
o "TF" - Transfer Failure
o "GE" - Group Expanded
NOTE: The Administrator's Guide states: "Do not edit the Mail Tracking Store database directly."
NOTE: 上述内容适用于 Lotus Domino Version 6.5, 7.0, 8.0, 8.5
