ETAPE 2: CORDOBA – LA RIOJA

 

687 km for cars and trucks and 626 km for bikes and quads are on the menu of the 2nd stage of the Dakar 2010. In fact, just like during the first stage and for the same safety reasons, the competitors will be tackling two routes starting from Cordoba. The result is therefore a special stage with two versions: a short one of 294 km for the bikes and quads and a long one of 355 km for the cars and trucks. However, the terrain will be the same for everyone, very similar to world rally championship circuits in the first section before becoming more rocky and rugged later on. There is an extra difficulty for 4-wheelers: a very steep descent midway through the route, where brakes and gears will be put under great strain.

 

2010年达喀尔拉力赛第二个比赛日，汽车和卡车组赛段长度687公里，摩托车和四轮摩托车组626公里。事实上，出于安全考虑，和上个赛段一样两组参赛者从Cordoba出发开始就分两条道路行驶。因此特殊赛段也有两个版本：摩托车和四轮摩托车组的特殊赛段较短，为294公里，而汽车和卡车组赛道稍长一些，355公里。不过两条赛道的地形相似，而且前部几乎与世界拉力锦标赛的赛道相同，后程变得更崎岖、岩石更多。对于汽车与卡车组来说，赛道中段很陡的下坡路段难度不小，车手必须不停的换挡和刹车才能顺利通过。
