It was the last day of school, the kids were all quiet,
Nobody threw planes or caused a riot,
For all the boys and girls were counting from 10 to one,
It ended as fast as it begun,
Cause then kids bashed out the door, starting the summer,
Kids know that it wouldn’t be a bummer.
Some went to the pool, went for a swim,
While others may have went to the gym,
Most played games, video especially,
While others did normal things specially.
A lot went to camps and had a lot of fun,
And a few did nothing under the summer sun.
But when summer ended, there was groan of sadness,
Cause all of the kids wanted to resume their madness,
They kicked, screamed, yelled, and shook,
But the parents just grabbed them and gave ‘em that look,
But once they saw their friends and met their teacher,
They turned happy and did not behave like a creature!
