As part of its consent Greymouth Petroleum had been given 13 conditions to comply with including putting the land back to its original state, and after its consent expires would "go through a rigorous consent process again if they want to drill any further wells".

The court of appeals faces an ever increasing docket and an increasing complexity of cases. The court must provide timely decisions that are compliant with Supreme Court precedent.
2. If elected, how will you address this issue?
I will resolve my cases in a timely manner and will apply the law fairly and consistently. The most important attribute of an appellate court is consistent application of the law.
