I think you mean Chtel d In which case, if you are coming to Switzerland, you will have to go over the Pas de Morgins and then down to Monthey to join the Swiss autoroute system. You will need to buy a "vignette", which costs 40CHF, to drive on the autoroute. I assume also you will rent a car on arrival at Geneva airport. If you rent on the Swiss side, the car will already have the vignette. On the French side, it might or might not. Please check because the penality for driving on the autoroutes without one is severe.

Then drive through Montreux and Vevey. If you see something that takes your fancy, stop. Otherwise continue on to St Saphorin. (small village after Vevey). this is very pretty, is at the foot of the Lavaux vineyards and has a decent small restaurant serving loca lake fish (filets de perche). It is called Le Caf du Raisin. Open everyday except Sunday evenings and Mondays.

Sit in the caf. the "restaurant" part is near the kitchen and can be noisy. You will get a good meal here salad, plate of fish and pommes frites, dessert and coffee for around 40frs /pp. (restaurant area costs more.) the local wine "St Saphorin" is quite drinkable.Places to visit nr Geneva
