You know what has been looking good together for centuries now? Wood and metal. Kiwi designer Tim Webber gets very wise to this classic pairing of materials for his WM (or wood/metal) series of furniture and lighting. “Wood typically holds a very warm, rich, natural feel, while steel is often described as cold, hard and unforgiving,” Webber says. “However, when these two materials are mated together there seems be a harmony that forms in the juxtaposition of these two very different materials.”
The stools and dressers deliver on that harmonious juxtapoz the designer speaks of, and the pendant lights fit that mold as well. The table lamps stick out as the most unique offering—almost taking the metaphoric form of an idea being hatched.
