In view of the speed of mechanical impeller is relatively high, the inflatable stirring device is easily wear and tear damaged, so argillization is serious. Besides, it is large power consumption (reported only 20% electricity transformed into effective work). The flotation speed is slow and separation standard is low. In order to overcome above shortages, we developed mechanically stirring air-charging floatation machine and put it into practice. In addition to the inflatable stirring by impeller, the machine pressed air into the pulp. Due to the additional pressure gas, we may be appropriate to reduce the rotor speed, thus it overcomes the mechanical wear, and improves mechanical properties. There are a lot of this kind of flotation machines, such as Denver DR flotation machine, the Aki Blantyre type flotation machine, Maxwell flotation machine and so on.
Now we take Denver DR flotation machines as an example. When Denver DR
flotation machine works, the slurry is pulled through the annular space of the
inhalation of hollow tube and loop tube, air is pressed by pressure air
compressor along the hollow tube. Circular cylinder connected with
interconnected hollow tubes with ribs. Radiation-like leaves are on the mixing
impeller, forming a gap between impeller and cover board. Denver DR flotation
machines, slurry loop is along the circumference of the loop tube 2 and a high
liquid level, thus ensuring the pulp in a large volume of circulation, when the
tank slurry formation of upwelling, prompting mineralization bubble rising to
the slurry surface. According to this principle, the pulp return impeller mixing
zone of the solid content is low, thus improving the dispersion of air, reducing
power consumption and reduce the wear and tear on the impeller and cover.
Meanwhile, the Denver DR flotation machine can also improve the granularity of
flotation material, which is due to the increase of the amount of slurry by the
impeller circulation, improve the speed of the upwelling, to ensure the
effective suspension of mineral particles.
