people scour for the perfect ones
Halloween may be over, but there's still a few fields of pumpkins left at McDonald's Greenhouse.
The family grows between 8,000 and 10,000 pumpkins each year and has some leftovers after people scour for the perfect ones to carve or bake. So what does the family do with the thousand or so that are leftover?
"The cows enjoy them. When you dump them out there, they come a running, and it's a good way of recycling your nutrients back into the ground, " says owner James McDonald.
