A native of Trail, Rizzuto was the first B.C.-born player to skate
reinforced and score for the Canucks. He had three goals and seven points over 37 games in the 1970-71 season.
It wound up being Rizzuto?s only season in the league, later winning a pennant with the WHA?s Winnipeg Jets before retiring in the mid-70s.I've come full circle,? said Rizzuto. ?I had ups and downs like everyone else. In those days we never made a lot of money, but I can say I?m comfortable now. It just brings back a lot of memories and a lot of good ones.?
