The decorations are four-foot tall lighted snowflakes City Manager Dan Newell said the proposal was that the City would pay cover for 12 lights/decorations and Lyon County would buy 10 lights/decorations. The discounted total cost to the two entities would be $9,853.

The decorations are four-foot tall lighted snowflakes that will be placed on the city streetlights and around the county courthouse and administrative complex on Main Street.

The request was brought up at the Sept. 27 Council meeting, as city cover officials said the current city Christmas decorations are in very poor condition.
