the process with ubuntu 9.10

Yesterday i formated my former ubuntu  9.04 and had a try for ubuntu 9.10 .and it may sort to difficult to me compaired  to ubuntu 9.04. and i have not gotten used to xwindow. i just want to learn with  ubuntu and be a friend of him ,maybe at the end of next ubuntu distribution realeased i will become skilled at it .

1.the gcc and vi (vim)is inserted in dvd distribution. what is weired is that i cannot get well with 'vim ' command,which shows 'no such command'. and vi cannot fuction its lighting-keywords  fuction.  so weired.

2.i upgraded the os in the morning .and install the gstreamer 0.10-ffmpeg; gstreamer 0.10-fluendo-mp3; gstreamer 0.10-plugins-ugly for moives players. and it can play the music and movies now. but the Rhythombox can work well  after i pick uo some gstreamer* from synatic.

3.i install mpg123----------a player for command line with the command :   sudo apt-get install  mpg123.

4 i install the SCIM input method by typing the command :  sudp apt-get install  scim .
