Pottery hippopotami and flying horses
The central divider in the dining room is covered with miniatures, from a
health fruit stand with adorable durians to a flower-filled glass cabinet and artificial orchids.
Original owner Jiraporn Koonyosyint and her partner Benjaporn Chandpen, who has participated in the business for about 15 years, run the restaurant with a certain charm. Little Tootsie Rolls in a candy dish stand in for the more typical mints. Chandpen bought the items that decorate the dining room in Thailand.
Pottery hippopotami and flying horses and pigs hang from multiple mobiles, and elaborate, utterly charming fabric from Chandpen's hometown of Huahin hangs in the windows all around in front of red mini-blinds. The curtain colors change with the seasons. The cheerful exuberance of the room set the mood on a recent visit, and
health as a server approached, everyone smiled.
