PARENTS of many teenagers may believe their children's bedrooms
PARENTS of many teenagers may believe their children's bedrooms are akin to slums, but a group of sixth form pupils went one step further and built their own.
The 18 pupils at Davenant School in Loughton constructed a hut at the entrance of their school out of wooden crates, tarpaulin and other waste collected from nearby homes from Monday until today in a bid to raise money for street children.
Pupil Maruis Vermaak, 17, of Borders Lane, Loughton, said it had been tough staying in the hut through the wind and rain on Monday night and living without mobile phones or computers.
