Breaking it down, I saw parts of the Wednesday night at the Pub, which was the 94.9 The Outlaw birthday show. Everyone was in a good mood and, for a foggy evening, they had a good turnout.
I missed Ali Holder at Atlanta Bread Company on Thursday but did manage to see her at a private set. It was an off week at The Spot Thursday for the open mic event, but I made it to the late- night eatery and hangout spot on Friday to hear they are closing in on their one-year anniversary. Word is that they will be doing a really interesting celebration with a lot of live music. More word on that as it develops.
On Thursday at 10 p.m. it was the Chameleon Club to check out Dr. Phillgood and the Let’s Get It On’s. Not a stellar crowd, which makes no sense because the club offers amazing specials on Thursdays, but the people there were into the music, and that’s what matters. I met a friend of mine there, from a local band, and he was blown away at the area band is.
