Things to consider before installation Oracle 10G RAC on Solaris platform

1. Hostname can't is capital letters，otherwise when executing $CRS_HOME/root.sh will occured following error

Failure at scls_scr_create with code 1

2.If use raw device，reserved a few cylinders(more than 2) on 0 partition when format disks,otherwise disk operation may destroy the partition information。as show below：

3.Using IPMP to be careful because the network interface will change, which may cause the RAC  to abnormal。pls refer MOS 368464.1

4.Sometimes ASM does not discover disk on solaris，you can use the parameter asm_disktring, write full path of the disk, if there are multiple disks can be separated by commas, such as '/ dev/rdsk/c3t42d10s0', '/ dev/rdsk/c3t42d10s1'

Althouth Oracle and Sun is a company，But oracle database have very poor compatibility on solaris platform
