They were either violent or apathetic
Texas Rangers owner and former Curve owner Chuck Greenberg made some ridiculously ill-advised comments this week when he blasted Yankee fans, and he is being heavily criticized for the gaffe.
"I thought that Yankee fans, frankly, were awful," Greenberg said on ESPN Radio in Dallas on Monday. "They were either violent or apathetic, neither of which is good. So I thought Yankee fans were by far the worst of any I've seen in the postseason. I thought they were an embarrassment."
Now Greenberg, who has apologized for the remarks, is finding out firsthand the embarrassment that those kind of comments can lead to. He is being villified in New York.
