ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The last item, a painting, sold for $225 nearly 15 hours after the auction for everything inside Vaughan Company Realtors started.
“"Grand total we did just over $225,000. It was just
caboger phenomenal. His personal office furniture brought 5,500 bucks. The big Angus Macpherson painting brought 10,500. The smaller Angus Macpherson brought a little over 3,500 I mean prices were just phenomenal," said Jeff Bentley of Bentley’s Auction.
Bentley says he only expected the whole auction to bring in $175,000. Despite bringing in more money, shoppers say they’re the ones who won.
“I think everything was well priced so I think it was a good deal," said Tom Pascuzzi, who was buying items for both his home and medical office. “My wife bought a nice tapestry and a nice table and that will be for the house and I got furniture for our lobby. We bought leather chairs like this for the lobby as well as desks for the office and new chairs for each of the clinic rooms."
"Today's the mad house, now it's when everybody comes to pick up their stuff. You
caboger know when you had over 600 registered bidders. And now you have 500 people coming to pick up their stuff," said Bentley.
