The MCC VectorControl
The MCC VectorControl, which is replacing the
fashion company’s UltraSmart controller, will be available for general purchase in Q4 2010.
From “plug and play” installation, to an easy-to-use graphical interface, to its variable frequency vector control, the MCC VectorControl offers a wide range of features that enhance and upgrade the overall functionality, safety and efficiency of the company’s high-speed doors.
“We were blown away by the performance ratings of the MCC VectorControl during the last two years in Europe,” says Mike Weiland, general manager of Albany Door Systems. “This controller has a 95.5 percent reliability rate and will increase the safety and reliability of all Albany U.S. door models.”
Using patented VectorControl energy efficient technology, the new controller continuously monitors electrical current and operates with a variable frequency. Doors only use the amount of power they need for optimal speed and performance. Unlike standard contactor controllers on other doors, the
fashion VectorControl opens and closes the door panel quickly and smoothly, eliminating jerky movements at the top or bottom of the cycle. The smoother operation decreases wear and tear and reduces noise.
