HOUSTON - No one ever thought nearly 2 years later, that

But, you have only to glance at the rooftops to realize just how many blue tarps remain.
"Ike was something else. I have never seen a hurricane like that." remembers Kenneth Lewis.
His family has lived in their Southeast Houston home since the 1950s. It is one of many that still bears the battle scars of Ike, the blue tarps.
Their ceiling collapsed. FEMA wouldn't help citing insurance on
guanren the home. But that insurance only covered fire and lightning. So the damage remains.
