A drive by this farm, with
bright white barns and deep blue 75-foot silo atop Painter Hill Road, reveals nothing out of the ordinary for passersby, other than stunning foliage and miles of Colonial stone walls framing seas of green grass.
But a peek behind the doors of its barns reveals something extraordinary-a museum-quality display of agricultural machinery. Housed within several barns are more than 100 farm tractors, more than 50 garden tractors, gas engines, farm equipment and trucks that Mr. Diebold has collected since 1957 and lovingly restored.
This Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., the retired farmer will share what has been called one of the best tractor collections in the East in a rare public display at the DD Living History Farm, also known as Toplands Farm LLC. The open
is sponsored by the
Wincor Parts Roxbury Land Trust.
