There is a story i have just read:
As an intro, I’d like to ask “who has figured out the secret to life?” Then see how many hands are raised. Then ask how many thing the secret is “he/she who dies with the most toys wins?” “money” “business success” “family” or “relationships with those around you.” The definition of success and “secret to life” is a personal thing, but for me, it’s all about relationships with others (my family, my friends, people like you).
The main point of this presentation is to communicate how important the culture of a company is. I’d also simply like to share some things that work for me with the world. Introduction can talk about how people die in 18-24 months when they don’t have a purpose in life. What I wish to give everyone who attends is take away value – a few golden nuggets that they can use in their life every day. I want to make a difference for you. Life’s too short not to enjoy every day. Is not working everything it’s cracked up to be? How many people do you know that are under 50 who have successfully retired – as in not worked another day? I know 1, he’s 49. Great satisfaction comes from achieving on the job…in making a difference. However, on your death bed will you wish you worked harder? No, you’ll be focused on relationships. If you won the lotto would you change your friends, wife, kids? Of course not.
