linux clearcase installation and configuration

Linux ClearCase Installation & Configuration

 

Log on as NIS user to your computer（Commonly: NIS user is your name, initial passwd is:123）.
注：文档中省略的步骤一律按照默认选项回车即可。

Step 1:
Install preparation(Open shell , Switch to root user)：
[root@nisuser ] # mount 192.168.31.10:/CC20030600LINUX  /mnt

Step 2:
Open shell as NIS user, start to install linux clearcase.
path: /mnt/2003.06.00/rhat_x86/clearcase/install
install>sh install_release（Deinstall must be use this script）
1. Local Install:                         Install occurs on the local host.
2. Remote Install:                      Install occurs on a single remote host.
3. Multiple Remote Installs:            Install occurs on a set of remote hosts.
4. Local Deinstall:                    Deinstall occurs on the local host.
Type "Help" or "h" for expanded descriptions
Type "Quit" or "q" to exit the installation
Please select the installation method by number.
Method of installation>>choose 1（Local Install）

1. Standard:               Regular installation, allowing links to this release area.
2. Full-copy:（recommend）Regular installation, with no links to this release area.
3. Mounted:    Host install via mounted or pre-populated /usr/atria or ATRIAHOME.
4. Link-only:              Host install via a symbolic link to this release-area.
5. Deinstall:              Deinstall software from the local installed host.
Type "Help" or "h" for expanded descriptions
Type "Quit" or "q" to exit
Please select the installation type by number.

Model of installation>>choose 2（Full-copy）
  1 : ClearCase Minimal Developer Installation
  2 : ClearCase Server-only Installation
  3 : ClearCase MultiSite Full Function Installation
  4 : ClearCase Web Interface Server
  5 : ClearQuest Integration with ClearCase
  6 : ClearDDTS Integration with ClearCase
  7 : ClearCase Mainframe Connectors
  8 : ClearCase MultiSite Shipping Server-only Installation
  9 : ClearCase Full Function Installation
  a : Select all
  f : Finish selection
  x : Toggle expanded descriptions
  r : Reset selections
  q : Quit

Step 3:

确认以前输入的Registry Server，回车

确认以前输入的Registry Backup  Server，回车
ClearCase Registry Backup Host(s)[Unknown]: Enter

         User specified:Registry backup host(s): Unknown
确认以前输入的linux Region，回车
ClearCase Registry Region[linux]: Enter

**** Enter 'quit' or 'no' to abort the installation ****
**** Enter 'yes' or press to continue **** Enter
Continue installation?(yes, no, quit)[yes] Enter
开始安装。。。 。。。

安装结束提示：

FINAL: s7a_dev  Errors:0        Warnings:2
Log file for this session: /var/adm/atria/log/Atria_install.020627.11:55

No errors ，2  warnings
Installation complete.
