Poor video performance

Answer :

  • Verify QXL driver is properly installed and running
  • Try adjusting QXL video memory to 64Mb (see also discussion in )
  • Using spice-gtk, make sure to try the upcoming version >= 0.7 which has video performance improvements
  • Have you compiled spice & spice clients with jpeg-turbo?
  • Flash video playback produce worst performance when there is lot of overlaying 2d elements (statusbar, seekbar, ads, buttons etc...)
