As a student, I am too poor to buy a software license. However, as a program writter, I respect the software copyrights as well as programmers' work.
So, minimize our use of pirated and find free ones to substitute. The following are some of my favorite free software.
A little,fast compression software similar to winrar. Its 7z archive format is said to provide the highest compression ratio.
The standard PDF file viewer(version Nine proposed).
An optical media emulation for Windows. The pity is that it don't supply draging function.
A screen-capture and screen-recording tool to record screen activities and sounds into standard AVI video files.
An excellent image browser and editor, which can completely instead of ACDSee.
An easy and intuitive dictionary and text translation software. It offers lookup dictionaries, full text translation, cursor translation of words in over 80 languages. The latest version 2.5.3 perfectly supply cursor translator in Adobe Acrobat Pro(not Adobe Reader) and firefox.
