1. The steps to start Sun Cluster 2.2.
It's better to log into all nodes via console connection to monitor the process below.
1.1. log into one of the cluster nodes on run level 3.
1.2. # scadmin startcluster localnode clustername
localnode : output of command "hostname".
clustername : in "/etc/clusters" file or
use "scconf -p" to check.
1.3. Sun Cluster is started and the 1st node is added in after the step above.
1.4. In other nodes (not join cluster yet),
# scadmin startnode
1.5. We will see 12 reconfiguration steps running on console display of all nodes.
2. The steps to stop Sun Cluster 2.2.
2.1. Log into one of the cluster nodes.
2.2. # scadmin stopnode
2.3. Log into the other nodes of the cluster.
2.4. # scadmin stopnode.
2.5. Now "hastat" should tell you none of these nodes are in cluster.
3. The command switches over logical hosts "hahost1" and "hahost2" to both be mastered by "phys-hahost1".
# haswitch phys-hahost1 hahost1 hahost2
4. To activate Oracle data service when SC 2.2 is running.
# hareg -y oracle
5. To activate Sybase data service when SC 2.2 is running.
# hareg -y sybase
6. To activate Informix data service when SC 2.2 is running.
# hareg -y informix
