How to split an exist asset that has been depreciated?
We have an asset A ,that its cost is 10,000,life of deprication is 60month,salvage value percent is 10%,and it has been depreciated for 10month.
Now for some reasons, the asset A needs to be split into A cost:6,000) and B(cost:4,000). To refer to Doc:155856.1 for the below step.
The cost of asset A will be adjustd to 6,000, then to create a new asset B , the asset B cost entered with 4,000,the "Date in Service" column of the asset B is identical to the "Date in Service" column of the asset A.
I don't know whether this method is correct or not?
