昨晚做了一个SAN级联的变更，将新的SAN Switch (2498-B40)级联入原有的SAN环境（两个2005-B5K Extend Fabric Trunking）。
B40加入的步骤如下：
1.设置B40交换机为switchdisable状态
2.设置B40的Domain ID，确保与原有SAN环境中的Domain ID不冲突
3.连接光纤：将B5K交换机与B40交换机进行ISL级联
4.设置B40交换机为switchenable状态
5.确认B40是否已加入：fabricshow

上述工作很顺利的就完成了，从fabricshow的输出可以判定ISL级联是成功的。
然后在B40上打开Web Tools，开始划zone，问题来了：通过图形界面（zone admin-->zone）只能看见本地的，也就是B40自己的switch port，无法看见另两个B5K上的port。
于是做了下面的两个尝试：
1. 使用SSH登录B40的命令行界面，用命令行进行划zone，成功；
2. 在B5K上打开Web Tools，发现可以通过图形界面看到3个交换机的端口，而不像B40那样只能看到自己的端口。
在Google上转悠了很久也没啥收获，因为不知道该用什么关键词来搜索和描述这个问题，囧囧囧！
级联的过程应该都是标准无误的，直觉告诉我问题可能出在SAN交换机的FOS版本上，B5K交换机的Fabric OS是5.3.0，新的B40交换机的FOS是6.1.1，难道是FOS的版本兼容性问题？于是开始在IBM和Brocade官网上寻觅，终于在IBM的网站上找到了原因”“。摘录如下：

请注意上面红色字体标注两行，很明显在FOS 6.1.1及更新的版本中，Web Tools中的某些功能被移到了DCFM中（万恶的资本家啊，就想着赚钱），其中就包括无法在zoning tree中看到非本地的交换机端口。
在Brocade网站上也能找到一些老外们就此问题的讨论，更加让我确信了自己的上述判断，。
