How to install Deluge torrent client at Debian ETCH

If you are runnning any Debian stable and want a hot new package(s), then you need to add in the backport. I had to add in the backport because the main ETCH reps tress don't have it in it. Thus add in the backport in the sources list as follow:-

deb etch main contrib non-free
deb-src etch main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib

#backports
deb etch-backports main contrib non-free

update your apts..

# apt-get update
.
.
Get:5 etch-backports/main Packages/DiffIndex [6991B]
Hit etch-backports/contrib Packages/DiffIndex
Hit etch-backports/non-free Packages/DiffIndex
Get:6 etch-backports/main 2008-05-11-0336.19.pdiff [250B]
Get:7 etch-backports/main 2008-05-11-0336.19.pdiff [250B]
Get:8 etch-backports/main 2008-05-11-0336.19.pdiff [250B]
Hit etch-backports/contrib Packages

Reading package lists... Done

Search for it

# apt-cache search deluge
deluge-torrent - A Bittorrent client written in Python/PyGTK

Install it

# apt-get install deluge

and enjoy it... :)
