What also makes this special is that the sub dials of this Navitimer are black, just like the very first iteration of the model years before. It is commonly held that no black on black Navitimers were produced this late, but just like with vintage Rolex, anything's possible. So this is already a great watch, but we haven't even gotten to the really good part yet, the part that makes us WANT this thing. This Navitimer was issued to the Iraqi Air Force, and features their insignia on the case back. Saddam Hussein called him pilots "The Flying Eagles" and that is exactly what you'll find on this Breitling. Talk about interesting provenance!
