Generally speaking, the selection of concrete mixer depends on three requirements: work amount and period; classification of designed concrete; composition properties and denseness of concrete.
1. Work amount and period:
Stationary concrete mixers with middle or large sized are usually applied to concrete constructions of huge work amount and long work period; otherwise, mobile concrete mixers with small and medium size are often used in the small projects with less work amount and shorter work period.
2. Classification of designed concrete:
It is a wise choice to select gravity concrete mixer to mix plastic concrete and half-plastic concrete. If high intensity concrete, hard-dry concrete, and lightweight concrete are to be mixed, compulsory turns to be a better choice.
3. Composition properties and denseness of concrete:
Gravity concrete mixer with large volume can be selected when aggregate is small and denseness is low, in contrast, gravity concrete mixer with fast revolving speed of mixing drum can be selected when aggregate is large and denseness is high. As to high denseness and small aggregate, compulsory or small-volume bionically concrete mixer discharging with anticlockwise rotation should be chosen.
