雅思考试相对原先的托福更加人性化，对考试者的英语实用能力要求更高，新托福的出现意在提高该考试对考生英语实用能力的检验。
SAT考试
SAT考试是美国高中生进入美国大学需要参加的考试，被多数大学用做比较不同地区、不同高中、不同评分制度的标准。其重要性相当于中国的高考，也是其他国家高中生申请进入美国大学本科学习能否被录取、能否得到奖学金的重要参考。（不光考英语，其他也要考的，像逻辑推理能力等。）
GRE考试
GRE考试 （Graduate Record Examination）是美国研究生入学考试资格考试，由ETS主办。GRE考试分为两种：GRE General Test和GRE Subject Tests. General Test所考察的能力与考试者的专业背景无关，而Subject Tests则是衡量考试者在某一特定专业领域的知识水平。 GRE考试一般分三部分：词汇，数学，分析能力。
GMAT考试
我的大学英语四级成绩是498分。之后参加雅思考试，第一次很不顺利才6分。事隔一个月后再次参加雅思考试，成功破7分。其中听力8分，口语7分，写作6.5分，阅读6.5分。喜悦之余，想和大家一起分享我的经验。
