All players do not adhere to changes in a MMORPG over the years. To remedy this, the studio Jagex wants to reconcile nostalgia and

"It was better before" pretty much sums up the drama reproducing each MMORPGs since the genre exists. Obliged to renew to maintain the flame of the players or reach a new audience, developers introduce content or revisions to modernize their game Each major change causes heated debates, sharing the nostalgic previous versions and supporters of evolution. World of Warcraft Vanilla and Dark Age of Camelot : New Frontiers are only examples   dividing a community, which will then disperse especially on private servers (and illegal).

Former MMORPG with more than ten years of service, RuneScape is no exception to the rule and studio Jagex therefore wants to try a big gap to partially reconcile the two parties. Beta-test from 16 June, the combat mode in the former will thus allow to play the current version of RuneScape while providing an interface and combat rules from another time. It will happen and capabilities or rely on a maximum of 990 points of life. These changes requested by some of the players is not without requiring some adjustments to the current version , as a headache for developers.

The intention of wanting to reconcile (and not lose) the players is commendable from the studio Jagex, despite the risk of eventually disperse by combining two modes of combat that can interfere with each other. Rightly or wrongly, RuneScape wants to continue to evolve without changing the habits of its more conservative players. Currently appointed RuneScape 3, the web browser MMORPG studio Jagex engages in a challenging and interesting exercise.
