The fourth CICA is about to open in Shanghai

The fourth Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit to be Held in Shanghai, China from May 20 to 21 under the theme of increasing dialogue, mutual trust and collaboration to build a new Asia that is peaceful, stable and cooperative.

The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) si established to promote the international communication, mutual confidence and regional peace among the countries in Asia. The idea of convening the CICA was first proposed by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on 5 October 1992, at the 47th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

President Xi is scheduled to attend this summit and chair the Summit. Leaders or representatives of CICA member states and observer states, heads of relevant international organizations and guests will attend the Summit upon invitation.

More than 40 leaders and heads of the member states will attend the summit, including President Putinand repreesentatives of Ukrainian government. We are convinced this summit could be a platform for negotiation on Ukrainian Crisises. China is willing offer a hand to promote the regional security and stability.

This conference is surely a good opportunity for Chinese enterprises. It is estimated that more than 1,000 foreign enterprises will come to China, along with their state leaders.
