Bozeman man charged in Bridger Bowl burglary
A Bozeman man has been arrested and charged with burglary after stolen items from Bridger Bowl businesses were seen in his Missoula dorm room.Timothy E. Schwartz, 18, is being held at the Gallatin County Detention Center without bond after admitting to law enforcement that he stole alcohol and numerous transceivers, Go Pro Cameras and articles of clothing and equipment from Grizzly Ridge and Round House Sports at Bridger Bowl.According to court documents,, a report that Round House Sports and Grizzly Ridge had been burglarized was made on Dec. 2,, 2013. The report included a list of items stolen from the businesses, including avalanche transceivers, backpacks. video cameras, skiing equipment,, clothing and alcohol.Evidence, including fingerprints and shoe prints, were gathered.On Dec. 19, an informant contacted law enforcement,, saying that he saw cameras and avalanche transceivers in a dorm room at the University of Montana. "Timo" had told him that he had he had got the items over Thanksgiving break.Law enforcement contacted UM Police and identified "Timo" as Schwartz. A Facebook page of Schwartz also showed him wearing a pullover that was consistent with what was stolen.
