貂蝉出身
关于貂蝉的出身，有野史这样交待：其人本姓霍，无名，今山西忻州人。自幼人才出众聪敏过人，因而被选入汉宫，任管理宫中头饰、冠冕的女官，故称貂蝉官。因遭十常侍之乱，避难出宫，为司徒王允收留并认为义女，方才成就了离间董卓、吕布父子的壮举。关于貂蝉的结局，有评话这样叙述：吕布死后，貂蝉被曹操带回许昌，作为侍女留在丞相府中，关羽屯土山约三事暂时降曹之后，曹操为了笼络关羽之心，特赐美女十人，貂蝉便是其中一位，当关羽听到貂蝉报出姓名之后，感其胆识，撩髯称了一声"好"之后，闭目不言挥手令去,，貂蝉听后，明白关羽全其名节之意，回房后遂自尽而亡。
传说貂蝉降生人世，三年间当地桃杏花开即凋；貂蝉午夜拜月，月里嫦娥自愧不如，匆匆隐入云中；貂蝉身姿俏美，细耳碧环，行时风摆杨柳，静时文雅有余,，貂蝉之美，蔚为大观。正是因了这种美貌，让弄权作威的董卓、勇而无谋的吕布反目成仇，使得动乱不堪的朝野稍有安宁之象。然而，令人遗憾的是貂蝉以侍婢出现，以死者家属退身，罗贯中在《三国演义》中只叙列吕布白门楼殒命，便以一句"妻女运回许都"作结，自此，貂蝉生死成了千古之谜。
