Stevens , a Cape May homeopathic medical doctor. The house was commissioned as a wedding gift for his bride, Bessie . It is a Victorian Queen Anne Classic , with a unique floating staircase which is suspended from the third floor turret . The two dining rooms were originally the doctor's office suite . The house was restored and converted to a Bed and Breakfast Inn in 1980 when Albert and Bessie's' heirs sold the home to the first Albert Stevens Inn owners. In 2001 , the Inn was purchased by the current innkeepers, Jim and Lenanne Labrusciano . This Inn is located in the heart of Cape May NJ just steps to the beach, shopping and dining. This Colonial revivalstyle Cape May Inn features a gracious wraparound veranda where sumptuous breakfasts are served on pleasant mornings and stressrelieving rockers offer afternoon. Just blocks from the beach, mall and restaurants, Twin Gables is situated on beautiful Columbia Avenue . Built as a 'Mother/Daughter' house, Twin Gables is located in the left side of the 'Twins' .
