Las Piedras Fasano – Hotel – Uruguay

Punta del Este in Uruguay, home to Las Piedras Fasano hotel. In fact, this is actually a complex but that gives off too many bad associations with Sandals Jamaica and the like. Isay Weinfeld and Domingos Pascali completed the structure in January 2011, their joint efforts have created something pretty spectacular. The landscape that surrounds was always intended to be a part of the design rather than an obstacle, it’s slight wasteland feel that makes this a bit special. Of course, the hotel offers a lot of fancy bit’s n’ pieces. 43,000 sq foot comprised of hotel bungalows, private homes, a spa, equestrian centre, golf, polo field and a 3km beach. Alternatively you could just spend your time staring out or staring in. Just as good (Yatzer).
