Application of Wet magnetic separator

Magnetic separator uses removing iron powder in re-used powder particles. Magnetic separators are widely used in material recycling, timber, mining, ceramic, chemical, food, and other plants, which are suitable for magnetite, magnetic pyrite, roasted ore, ilmenite, and other materials with particle size below 3mm, it also applies for iron removing operation in coal, non-metallic ores, building material and other materials, it is the machine which is the most widely used, and of highest general purpose.
Magnetic separator is categorized into wet magnetic separator and dry magnetic separator. The magnetic system for permanent magnet drum separator with wet low-intensity magnetic field is composed of magnetic pole and magnetic guide plate. There are at least three magnetic poles (small diameter magnetic separator, such asφ600mm×900mm has 3 magnetic poles). Every magnetic pole is “built” by permanent magnetic mass, magnetic mass equals to the “brick” for “building a wall”. The specification of domestic ferrite permanent magnets is generally 85mm×65mm×17mm or 85mm×65mm×20mm or 85mm×65mm×22mm, etc, which is in flat shape, two big sides 85mm×65mm is magnetic pole, of course, one side is N pole, and another side is definitely S pole. Each part dimension for magnetic separator designing is considering with combination of dimension of magnets, the width of magnetic pole can be reached by using several magnets to place side by side, and height of magnets is formed by stacking of several magnets. For example, width of magnetic pole surface is 260mm, 65×4 can be used: 260 is four magnets placed side by side along with 65mm; if height of magnetic pole is 85mm, five 17mm wide magnets can be used to stack. There is a slight difference between two sides of pole face of magnets, the upward pole face is more bigger, so as to the stacking magnetic poles is more wider, and the underside face that put on guide plate is more narrow.
Magnetic system is consisted of several magnetic poles, and connected by saddle magnetic guide plate. Magnetic guide plate is made by low-carbon steel and pure iron, which not only plays the role of supporting magnetic system, but also provides excellent magnetic path. The magnetic flux that sends through every magnetic pole back face is mostly flowing in magnetic guide plate. Magnetic pole splices on magnetic guide pate, magnet center with a hole is fixed on magnetic guide plate by using copper bolts. The arrangement for magnetic pole is alternated along with circle polarity, the advantage of this arrangement is magnetic stirring function (magnetic flip) can be produced when magnetic ore grain passing through magnetic field in the process of screening, which is very good for improving fine ore grade. The whole magnetic system that composed of magnetic guide plate together with magnetic pole, two spoke iron reinforcements that connect with magnetic guide plate, all of which are fixed on the axis of magnetic separator.
