The wide use and application of cement increases the demand for its output and also put up with much higher requirement for its technology. So the newly researched and developed crusher has been in common use in the process of manufacturing and technology.

Its working principle is: Adjustment of discharging granularity: There is wedge or gasket adjustment device between two rollers of roller crusher. The adjusting screw bolts are fixed on the head of wedge head. When the adjusting screw bolts pull the wedge upwards, the wedge makes the roller be apart from fixed pulley. The gap between the two rollers becomes bigger and then the discharging granularity becomes bigger. When the wedge goes downwards, the gap of the two wedges becomes smaller and then the discharging granularity becomes smaller. Gasket device adjusts the granularity by decreasing and increasing the gasket numbers or thickness. When the gasket number increases, the gap of two rollers and granularity become bigger, on the other hand, the gap and granularity become smaller.

After we analyze its working principle, we will find that it is just suitable for cement production technology. This material in powder form can be changed from plasticity paste to hard stone-like body and can become a total cemented granular material through physical and chemical processes after being mixed with water. So it is a good mineral binder. It can be not only hardened in the air, but also better hardened in the water in which it will maintain and develop strength. Theoretically speaking, its maximum reduction ratio is 4:1. For example, the smallest size that can be recognized by a particle or 2inches is 1/2 an inch. Bt using the roller crusher machine, a material is crushed and reduced to a minimum particle size of 10Mesh (2mm). The materials are crushed by compression between two rolls rotating about a shaft. The size between the two tools used for compression can be suitably adjusted according to the desired size of the end-product. It is important to note that the largest particle size of the materials inserted should not be more than four times the dimension of the gap.

The rotation of the two rolls draws the particles to be crushed into the gap forming a friction angle between the rolls and particles referred to as nip angle. Through forcing the materials between the gaps, the rolls create compressive forces causing the materials to fracture.

It has the advantages of producing an end-product that is has a fine size distribution and little dust or fines during operation. It is widely used for crushing minerals whose abrasive levels are low and in the small scale production of mine. It is mostly used during coal mining. The crushers used may either be single roll or double roll. When used in coal mining, the surface of the  will have teeth or raised forms (when used for mineral and metal ores, the rolls have a smooth surface).
