CAM(Constently Awake Mode): 处于该模式下,网卡是一直醒的(处于活跃状态,网卡的收发器是处于工作状态),所以没有所谓省电之说。 优点:可以提供最大的无线数据的吞吐量 缺点:也就是比较耗电 该模式建议在台式机或者使用AC直流供电时候使用 FAST_PSP(Power Save Polling模式): 该模式下,属于省电模式。但是相比较后面的MAX-PSP又比较耗电。 该模式可以在CAM和MAX-PSP之间根据网络数据流量进行自动切换。数据流量大的时候可以切换为CAM模式工作,在数据流量比较小或者没有数据时候可以切换到MAX-PSP模式使网卡处于睡眠状态 优点:可以提供相对比较大的数据吞吐量,同时也会省一些电量 该模式建议在需要考虑电量消耗,但是又需要比MAX-PSP要高的数据吞吐量时候使用 MAX-PSP: 该模式是完全的省电模式,AP需要为无线网卡缓存无线数据。无线网卡适配器会处于睡眠状态,定期醒来和AP交互获取AP为他缓存的无线数据。 在接收完数据后又回复到睡眠状态 优点:可以最大限度保存电量 缺点:数据吞吐量低的可怜 该模式建议在电量消耗是首要考虑因素的情况下使用(比如一些比较小的电池供电设置)
Keeps the client adapter powered up continuously so there is little lag in message response time.
Consumes the most power but offers the highest throughput. Is recommended for desktop computers and devices that use AC power.
Fast PSP (Power Save Mode)
Switches between PSP mode and CAM mode, depending on network traffic.
This mode switches to CAM when retrieving a large number of packets and
switches back to PSP after the packets have been retrieved.
Is recommended when power consumption is a concern but you need greater throughput than that allowed by Max PSP.
Max PSP (Max Power Savings)
Causes the access point to buffer incoming messages for the client
adapter, which wakes up periodically and polls the access point to see
if any buffered messages are waiting for it. The adapter can request
each message and then go back to sleep.
Conserves the most power but offers the lowest throughput. Is recommended for devices for which power consumption is the ultimate concern (such as small battery-powered devices).
