如何处理RAID虚拟磁盘Bad Blocks的错误报警

首先，感谢来自DELL售后高级技术工程师Ken_lin的分享，以下我们将通过一个实例来分析虚拟磁盘发现bad blocks的报警，该如何处理

机器型号: PowerEdge with PERC H800 + MD1200.

故障描述:

1. 在DSET以及SA中显示该虚拟磁盘状态为红色打叉. 控制器下其他地方均为正常, TTYLOG无报错.

2. 在系统日志下显示虚拟磁盘有坏块.

3. 在DSET日志下log\OM Server Administrator\ Alert Log.txt也有虚拟磁盘的报错:

Severity      : Critical

ID            : 2387

Date and Time : Tue Feb 07 22:58:11 2012

Category      : Storage Service

Description   : Virtual disk bad block medium error is detected.:  Virtual Disk 0 (Virtual Disk 0) Controller 0 (PERC H800 Adapter)

 

故障原因:

When there is media defect (bad block) on the physical drive or soft media error on the drives caused by punctures.

解决问题:

1. Backup data.

2. Replace drives that have failed or having predictive failure.

3. Upgrade all the drives FW to latest.

4. Storage Management provides the ability to clear the bad block warnings. To clear bad blocks, the following procedure is recommended:

   a. When perform a backup of the virtual disk with the Verify option selected, two scenarios can occur:

         Backup operation fails on one or more files. In this case, restore the file from a previous backup. After restoring the file, proceed to next step.

         Backup operation completes without error. This indicates that there are no bad blocks on the written portion of your virtual disk.

If you still receive bad block warnings, the bad blocks are in a non-data area.

   b. Run Patrol Read and check the system event log to ensure that no new bad blocks are found.

   c. If bad blocks still exist, proceed to next step. If not, the condition is cleared.

   d. To clear these bad blocks, execute the Clear Virtual Disk Bad Blocks task. This can be done in the OMSS GUI or the cli command:

       omconfig storage vdisk action=clearvdbadblocks controller=id vdisk=id
