There were 8 new ports for the week of May 4 to May 10:
- devel:
- net:
- security:
- textproc:
- www:
Some ports had that users should be aware of; no port was removed.
New ports, listed in the order they were committed to the tree:
-
-
is an advanced IRC bouncer with features that include support for
multiple users, playback buffers, DCC bouncing, SASL authentication and
SSL encryption. It can be extended with dynamically loaded modules
written in C++ or Perl.
- security/aircrack-ng
-
is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover
keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the
standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks,
thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking
tools. In fact, aircrack is a set of tools for auditing wireless
networks.
Note: aireplay-ng can cause kernel panics, so this is not yet
connected to the build. But having it in the tree may get some more
people testing driver patches.
- devel/p5-Any-Moose
- This Perl module uses Moose if it's loaded and otherwise Mouse.
- devel/p5-Scope-Upper
- This
Perl module lets you defer actions that will take place when the
control flow returns into an upper scope. Currently, you can hook an
upper scope end, or localize variables, array/hash values or deletions
of elements in higher contexts. You can also return to an upper level
and know which context was in use then.
- devel/p5-YAML-Tiny
- The
YAML specification is huge. Really, really huge. It contains all the
functionality of XML, except with flexibility and choice, which makes
it easier to read, but with a formal specification that is more complex
than XML. The original pure-Perl implementation YAML costs just over 4
megabytes of memory to load. Just like with Windows .ini files (3 meg
to load) and CSS (3.5 meg to load) the situation is just asking for a
YAML::Tiny module, an incomplete but correct and usable subset of the
functionality, in as little code as possible.
- devel/ruby-systemtimer
- System
Timer, a timer based on underlying SIGALRM system timers, is a solution
to Ruby processes which hang beyond the time limit when accessing
external resources. This is useful when timeout.rb, which relies on
green threads, does not work consistently.
-
- is a fast and simple Squid log parser with a Perl CGI script to dynamically generate report pages.
-
- Lithuanian dictionary for aspell.
- astro:
- got a security patch to fix a stack overflow.
- devel:
- editors:
- , from openoffice-3.0.1rc1 to openoffice-3.1.0.
This update comes with 2 new flavors in the port:
- a
no_java
flavor because now we can build OOo w/o having jdk and
other java dependencies installed; - a
parallel
flavor that allows people to build OOo with
parallel processes. To achieve this we use a so called "non-blocking"
cat, so another distfile has been added in order two provide to
pre-built static binaries with the needed modifications (for amd64 and
i386). By default we run a parallel build with NCPU+1 processes.
- graphics:
- , from sane-backends-1.0.19 to sane-backends-1.0.20.
This major update brings:
- new and updated backends;
- 75 more scanner models supported;
- epson backend deprecated, use epson2;
- coolscan2 backend deprecated, use coolscan3;
- improved saned configuration;
- updated translations and documentations;
- bugfixes.
- shells:
- , from bash-4.0.10 to bash-4.0.17.
- sysutils:
- , from conky-1.6.1 to conky-1.7.0.
A no_x11
flavour was added (useful for dwm's status bar or with dzen2).
- x11:
- , from evilwm-1.0.0 to evilwm-1.0.1.
